Choose your family carefully as you will be living with them for a period of time and you need to be happy. This is the best way to avoid being homesick. |

Bring a gift from your country to the host family's children, as this is always a good start. It does not need to be expensive. |

If you decide to become an Au Pair, flexibility and respect for your family is extremely important. If you do have any problems then you should tell your host family about your worries. If you cannot do this, then you can ring us on our care line. All calls will be treated as confidential. |

Although unlikely (we have found most problems can be resolved) if problems persist and you feel that you need to leave the host family of your choice, we will do what we can to find a new family for you as soon as possible. |
